This package works very well. I was skeptical at first, reconditioned and all, but am quite pleased to date. I now have used it for over a month and have had absolutely no glitches thus far. I'm not a professional handyman, but this unit is easy to use, works well and most importantly, the price was $100.00 cheaper than the non-reconditioned package.
I read posts that said the compressor came dinged, banged up, broken, not so in this case. It had one smudge mark on it, whether it was from the original user or the factory, I do not know nor do I care. It hasn't affected the the performance yet.
Like other reviews, the hose is cheap and not the quality I would want, so I went out and purchased a new one at the local hardware store.
As far as the nailers, have used all three, the stapler the least amount and the 16 guage the most, yet no jams, no misfires, the nailers work absolutely perfect.
If someone is looking to buy this inexpensively, I would recommend they do so. If you are thinking a gift to someone, maybe not because the smudge (the "B" in Bostitch was partially rubbed off) would show that it is not in "perfect" looking condtion. Just a small thing that my neighbor saw and commented on. To me though, no big deal.
I say, if you want to save money, and you are just using this to do work and not look at it up on the mantle, then have at it. It is a great buy.

I watched this item for a few weeks on amazon as it went in and out of amazon prime. Apparently it is sometimes sold directly by amazon when they have it in stock I suppose, and if you're an amazon prime member you'll get free 2-day shipping, otherwise you get free super saver shipping. Unfortunately when I was ready to pull the trigger amazon didn't have it in stock, but rather a 3rd party called CPO Bostitch (price was about the same). They charged me tax in California which initially I was okay with because normally that means it ships from Cali and I get the item within a day or two. However it ended up shipping from back east somewhere and took about a week to get here. I was rather disappointed to pay tax and have to wait a week. So if you are west coast I'd recommend trying to get it directly from amazon to avoid the tax and lengthier ship time.
The product itself is excellent. The condition was brand new for all intensive purposes. I could not tell that it had ever been used previously in any way.
It of course includes all 3 nail guns listed, and on top of it they included an accessory pack with a coiled air hose and a bunch of fittings for filling balls, tire valve stems, separate tire pressure gauge, air blower nozzle, etc. A nicer black air hose was also included that I have not used yet. The cheap yellow one that comes with the accessory pack seems to work fine, but it is the thin plastic type of hose that you could probably easily cut/crush if you're not careful. They also included a pack of nails for the finish and brad nailer (none for the finish stapler).
For those that have never used a nail gun (myself included) it was an absolute breeze! I quickly consulted the documentation for the brad nailer as it seemed about the right size for nailing some trim around some closet doors I had just installed. It was simple and straight forward to load the nails, hook up the hose and turn on the compressor. It runs for a few minutes to get up to ~110 psi (not sure if that is max, didn't see any adjustment for that). It's loud, but all compressors are. I wouldn't say it's any louder than others, in fact I felt it was on the quiet side if anything. There are two guages on the tank, one showing you internal pressure and another showing what comes out of the tank along with an adjustment to control it (external). You can also get quite a few shots out of the brad nailer before the compressor kicks on. I did all of the closet trim and not once did it kick on (probably 30 nails or so).
Using the nail gun is as easy as it looks on HG. Just depress the head of the gun against what you are nailing, apply some pressure and squeeze the trigger. There is an exhaust port at the back of the gun which you can rotate to expel the exhaust away from you, so be prepared for a small blast of air coming out of there. My wife was a little scared at first about the gun kicking and what not, which it does very little. The air blast of course caught her by surprise and I failed to warn her about that. You want to apply some pressure on the gun while you fire it otherwise the nails won't counter sink into the wood, but may stick out just a bit and you have to go through and counter sink them by hand with a center punch.
I'm looking forward to using the other guns for some more projects around the house, such as crown molding and some built in cabinets around the fireplace.
Bottom line, for the price, quality and ease of use of this product I don't think it can be beat - 3 different guns, all the accessories and a compressor for this price!? |
Just like new....

| I was pleasantly surprised to see that this reconditioned unit looks just like new. There's not a scratch or a mark on it. It works perfectly, too. I mainly wanted the finish nail gun for molding work. It's going to save me hours of hammer time on my new room addition. The price of this kit is phenominal...and with free shipping it's a no-brainer. Thanks, Amazon. |

I looked hard and long for this product before making a decision and it has been one of my best purchases. I starting using the day I received by priming the Air Tank and the next day used everyone of the Guns. They worked without flaws and we completed a tough job in half the time.
I can highly recommend this product, you will not be disappointed and the price saving was not bad either.

I had been looking for a smaller compressor / nailer combo at a reasonable price. This seemed to fit the bill, but I was a little hesitant about it being reconditioned. Unit arrived in only 3 days using super saver free shipping. It was reasoably packaged and their was no apparent shipping damage. The compressor had one or two minor blemish spots in the finish but appeared to be minimally used if at all. Nail guns appear to be be brand new and unused. Came with fastners for all three nailers, new air hose, oil, tote bag and also accessory kit with coil hose, blow off air nozzle with several tips inflation needle, assorted quick connect fittings, thread tape..WOW !!!
Plugged in and ran the compressor. It functioned correctly, no leaks noted, achieved indicated 135 psi before auto shut off. Have not had an chance to try the nail guns yet.
So far everything exceeded my expectations. From the shipping time, to the condition and inclusiveness of the kit. I feel this combo kit is a great bargain at ~$100 less than new. |
